Blnk Raises USD 37.1 M Series A & Debt To Expand Consumer Lending In Egypt

Jun 8, 2026

Egyptian fintech Blnk has raised USD 37.1 M in fresh funding, comprising USD 12.5 M in Series A equity and USD 24.6 M in local debt facilities, to expand its point-of-sale consumer lending business.

Founded in 2021 by Amr Sultan, Blnk is an AI-powered digital consumer finance platform that enables instant credit underwriting for purchases at partner merchants. The equity round was led by Algebra Ventures, with participation from SANAD Fund for MSME, Endeavor Catalyst, and Emirates International Investment Company (EIIC).

The debt financing came from several Egyptian banks and non-bank lenders. Since its USD 32 M seed round in 2022, Blnk has onboarded more than 1 million customers, surpassed an EGP 1 B loan portfolio, achieved profitability in 2025, and reported 173% year-on-year revenue growth.
